Sri Lanka is living history, layered across centuries and still vividly present. This 14-day expedition explores its UNESCO World Heritage treasures, from Anuradhapura’s sacred Bodhi Tree and Polonnaruwa’s ancient stone Buddhas to the cave temples of Dambulla and the hill capital of Kandy. It extends into Horton Plains and World’s End and the biodiversity-rich Sinharaja rainforest. Along the way, cycle through ancient ruins, ride scenic highland trains, track elephants in Udawalawe and relax on the southern coast. The journey ends in Colombo, capturing the island’s rich blend of history, nature and modern life.
